With hectic schedules it can prove to be difficult to coordinate social gatherings amongst friends, so whenever there is an opportunity we seize it. Recently, the stars lined up and I was able to have dinner night with some of my colleagues and needless to say we were in the mood for international food. So in my quest to find the best Drunken Noodles in the Northeast, we opted for Erawan Thai Cuisine Restaurant in Philadelphia. With chili, basil leaves, bell peppers, tofu and wide rice noodles stir-fried with a delicious sauce. I err on the side of spiciness, so the Drunken Noodles were not as hot, however the wonderful flavors still kept me satisfied.

We also feasted on some Pad Thai and Vegetable Massaman Curry. Having never had Massaman Curry before, I was pleasantly surprised that the sweet aroma matched the taste of the dish. The coconut milk and curry were refreshing to my palate.

For dessert, the mango sticky rice was a fan favorite. The sweetness of the ripe mango, and the texture of the sticky rice made for a scrumptious treat. However, we had to take most of it home because after such a filling dinner, with another bite we would have needed a forklift to move us from our table.

If you have any suggestions on restaurants in the Northeast that you think serves the best Drunken Noodles, please share.
